Adaptive technology is used to help people with disabilities have the opportunity to learn better. It is used to support learners because it gives them the chance to help them with what their disability prohibits them from being able to do. The podcast talks about how students with disabilities can use technology assistance to better accommodate with their disability and give them the opportunity to learn. I do not know of anyone that has used these technologies to help with their learning, but am sure that these technologies are successful. I feel that because I would like to teach younger students some may not understand why a certain student is using these special technologies to accommodate to their learning. I feel that would be my biggest issue, other than that I don't see a problem with it. I may use PowerPoint to help student with remembering content by making it creative by adding images and repeating it several times to make sure they remember it. For example, when teac...

My experience with using Twitter in this class so far have been good. I usually try to post twice a week and reply to things that I agree on or want to express my idea on. Some things that I have learned so far from using Twitter is that some educators are finding Skype Classroom to be a fun and good tool to use with the class. I have also learned 4 different ways to use Google Forms as a teacher. You can create assessments, create rubrics, collect web-based assignments, and soliciting feedback from parents and students. The benefits of using Twitter is seeing what your other classmates have to say about technology in education. So far I am not experiencing any issues while using Twitter. After working on the assignment Web Page Design, some skills that I feel I have picked up are being able to use Weebly and being able to create a website. I liked that I now have a concept of how to create a website and what information I could put on it that is beneficial. Before I did not know wha...

The website that I looked up was FSUS website. Once I entered the website, I searched a first grade teacher that I recently observed for another class. Her page had many different features. The opening page showed her students. It also had a side bar where you can choose if you wanted to learn about the teacher, classroom information, curriculum maps, pupil progression plan, newsletters, and homework/ flip video. This allows the students parents to learn about different things happening in the classroom. I find this to be very helpful because if you ever need to reference something or look to see what the child's homework is for the week, you are able to go to the website and look at it. https://www.fsus.school/Page/131 I envision myself using technology in many ways to accomplish my professional responsibilities. Some ways I may use technology to do this is by using presentation software, word processing, and  electronic spreadsheets. I could use presentation software to cre...

The Web 2.0 technology that I feel is the most useful is Diigo, because it allows students to bookmark  a website they find useful and also create notes on it to help them interact with others and help them better learn what is on the website. Diigo can also help a teachers professional development because it allows the students to interact online with each other and with the teacher, all while learning. The Web 2.0 technology that I feel is not useful in the classroom is the Wiki because there is not much use to it. I don't see the point of incorporating a Wiki into the course work because the things that the tool offers is similar to others, like inviting others to write within their own writing. Looking at all the Web 2.0 technologies I feel that Diigo is the most useful tool to use in the classroom and Wiki to be the least useful. An interesting Web 2.0 tool that I may use as a teacher is Youtube. I feel that Youtube is a very helpful tool to use during the classroom. It is a...
