My early course experiences with Twitter have been very good so far. When we first made the accounts I began following some educational technology accounts. These accounts would post different things about technology in education. I have found this beneficial because I first hand am seeing what educators have to say about technology. It helps to show how technology is used within the classroom with learning. Twitter may be helpful in my future career because when I am a teacher I may follow similar accounts to help me stay informed with different teaching ideas that other people around the country use. The digital divide can affect students in school because some students may have access to technology, therefore giving them somewhat of an advantage. While there are other students that don't have access to technology, therefore giving them a disadvantage. This is also similar to school-based access. Some schools involve technology with classes because of their location in an upper...

When it comes to the ELA standards, the one that I feel that I am most prepared to teach is the Producing Tech Standards. I feel that I know how to do much of what falls within the Producing Tech Standards. I also enjoy making things like PowerPoints and things similar to it, because I like to be the one in control. I do not feel as prepared to teach Consuming Tech Standards because I've never been good with what falls within that category. I hope to be able to improve this now while taking education classes so that in the future when I do teach it I feel comfortable and prepared. When I become a teacher I would like to teach between the 1st grade to 3rd grade age. Some of the technology that I would like to use with them are audios, videos, and the Internet. I would incorporate audio when it comes to reading. The audio can help them listen and read along so that they can learn to better read. I would use informative videos in my lessons to allow the visual learners to understand...

Throughout my school experience I have used Microsoft Word in several different ways. The main reason I used this program was to write essays. Once I got into high school most teachers wanted essays to be typed or sent through the computer. Another reason I've used this program was to create a resume and to create a collage of some of my pictures. I've noticed that teachers use Microsoft Word in several ways also. A main reason they use it is to create homework, tests, or instructions for class. Both students and teachers use Microsoft Word in many ways, which is why it is important to know how it works. When it comes to copyright materials and fair use, I have done it a couple times. Each time I've referred to someone else's work in an essay, I use citation which gives them credit for what I used. I've had several teachers that have used a PowerPoint created by another teacher, but they had permission from the creator to use their work. As a teacher I will create...

Technology has become a big aspect in our lives. Teachers are constantly using technology. Whether its for attendance, creating a worksheet, or researching fun activities to do for a lesson. These are some of the main reasons why teachers are influenced to use technology. It also allows communicating with parents and other teachers easier. The thing that influences students to use technology in the classroom is the fact that it can help the student learn with the learning stye that fits them. All students learn in different ways. Some are auditory learners, others visual learners, and some kinesthetic learners. Technology can help them learn in whichever way works best for them. An International Society for Technology in Education, or ISTE, develops standards for technology. One that I am familiar with is the designer standard. With this standard, educators design different things that help make learning from fun and make learning better. The reason I feel familiar to this is because...
